What is behind the name “Bettye Jenkins Ministries”?
Bettye Jenkins Ministries is the name given to the umbrella that includes all the birthing ministries assigned to Bettye Jenkins’ hands. These ministries started with a small seed, of faith, of obeying God in her small hometown of Chapel Hill, NC, USA. After being abandoned many times, Bettye Jenkins started her life’s journey as a woman in search of God . (See Founder’s Page)
Behind the name “Bettye Jenkins Ministries”, also known as BJ Ministries, is a woman of great strength, courage, and faith to endure through life’s trials and storms. Her life itself is a ministry because even before she was saved her greatest desire was to help others. She never considered the danger to her life as she helped others.
Birthed under this umbrella, is the Deborah Warriors Fellowship which consists of Branch locations established to help spread the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the World. Under Deborah Warriors Fellowship is The Widow’s Care Foundation (DWF WCF) which teaches, and helps widows become self sufficient in order to sustain life for themselves and their families; The Making a Choice Program (MAC) gives teaching that guides youths to make choices that enables them to be successful in life. Deborah Warriors is not a Fellowship that requires one to become a member by signing a paper, but by coming in agreement in one accordness to pray and help others. It is a fellowship where the Body of Christ gathers to learn and to join hand in hand to work in their homes, communities, state, country, and around the world. These individuals recognize that there is only one Lord. Ephes. 4:5 (KJV) One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Endtime Revival Center followed DWF, where the church fellowship was brought forth. Church services began in a 3-bedroom mobile home with a congregation of two (Apostle Jenkins and her 6-year-old son, John Matthew Jenkins, II) with him preaching for five (5) minutes and them often taking communion together.
Other church leaders in the town ostracized the vision, not allowing, then known Pastor Bettye, to preach in their pulpits, but God said, “Go on TV.” So then “Living by the Word” was birthed. “Living by the Word” is a television show that shares the Word of God by using practical daily life situations. The teachings of “Living by the Word” reach within and without the community, to do outreach, help restore hope to abused children, adults, drug addicts, gang members, the illiterate, the oppressed, prostitutes, the moral unstable, runaways and tomany other situations as widows, abandon children and adults.
As the vision began to grow, God showed her a university that would teach people all over the world about Himself and His Word. This teaching began to illuminate her spirit and became like fire shut up in her bones. Jeremiah 20:9 (KJV) Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. She began to teach this message in Deborah Warriors Fellowship and lives began to change, souls became free and many gave their lives unto God with a desired to become totally committed.
God told Apostle Jenkins to fulfill His commission in Mark 16:15-20 and go preach the Gospel to every living creature. At this point, God used her to birth the Go Ye Christian Universities. Even without proper facilities, she went forth to obey. In each country, GYCU was established in places one would consider less than desirable. Go Ye Christian University were established in Africa, India and USA. God made His Word so anointed and desirable that the students disregarded the facility; however, each year God made provision for the facilities to become more and more desirable. Apostle Jenkins still obeyed the voice of God by reaching out to her brethren, fellow clergyman where she was often pushed aside and ignored. Many poked fun at the vision. They laughed at the vision, the ministry was ridiculed, but God continued to uphold the Truth that He had placed within her heart. She knew what God had told her and showed her was true and that in spite of all the obstacles in her way, it would succeed.
He then showed her that the Body of Christ must come into His proper order and position if they were to make it in these END TIMES. Brethren from all over the world must come together under the Headship and covering of God, our Father and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to join together and become a repairer of the breaches. Then birthed through Apostle Bettye Jenkins by the Holy Spirit was the International Communion of Ministers, Ministries, & Churches (ICMMC). This apostle’s covering came forth to stand with the Body of Christ as order is restored within the Body. Under the ICMMC came forth the “We stand Watch” Intercessors Group to help in the watch of bringing the love, order and power of God back into the World.
The question may be asked, what else comes with this name of Bettye Jenkins Ministries? Well, let’s visit another side of her: She is a servant who believes in obeying God in every area of her life. In her earlier years she used her business “Bettye’s Flower Design” to support herself and also support the spread of the Gospel. This support from her business is still in effect today.
God used her to uncover wolves in sheep’s clothing. Many people came through her doors as wolves in sheep’s clothing from the world’s greatest warlock and witches to false apostles pretending to want to be set free from the power of satan. Many moved into the ministry seeking to take her life. Attempts ranged from efforts to poison her, an attempt to murder her and her son with a pair of scissors in the wee hours of the morning, to her waking up to a woman who went crazy in her home saying she was “the Christ”. Two other ladies also confessed to being sent to kill her.
Enemies set up camp all around her, but she continued to stand and rule Psalm 110:2 (KJV) The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Satan sent many arrows into the ministry and planted monitoring people to frustrate her hands, but she continued to remember the Word of God. Erza 4:4-5 (KJV) Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in buidling, [5] And hired counsellors against them , to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus King of Persia, even until the reigh of Darius King of Persia. Her unfailing love continued as she fought for people to be restored. This took her to many late night and early morning trips to the crack houses looking for lost loved ones. Many of the members came under strong attacks ranging from losing jobs, broken homes, marriages and other situations; yet she continued to stand with each person.
She stood with people as they went through many trips to the courthouse for evictions, seeking payments for child support, and to the hospitals for surgeries as God brought them to victory. She stood with people through the deaths and burial of loved ones. God continued to strengthen her to stand and to encourage the people. She believes in standing with people even to the end. The children of the ministry were being attacked, but she continued to pray and do warfare to bring them to success and peace. People have been brought out of alcohol, liquor houses, prostitution, pornography, whoredom, cussing, lying, fornication, homosexuality to now stand and live a holy life in Christ Jesus. They now recognize and know that their lives only began when they got really connected to God.
During one mission trip, Apostle Jenkins was attacked with sickness and had to be in a hospital, but she fought to come back up and she did. Praise the Lord!! She remembered one of the teachings that God had given her, “Everything God made, can hear”. She began to speak to everything in and around her until she gained the victory.
Although she suffered much, she can still stand on the promises in the Word of God for every area of Bettye Jenkins Ministries. Her confession is 2 Corinthains. 4:1-18 (KJV) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; [2] But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. [3] But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: [4] In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. [5] For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. [6] For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. [7] But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. [8] We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; [9] Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; [10] Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. [11] For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. [12] So then death worketh in us, but life in you. [13] We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; [14] Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. [15] For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. [16] For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. [17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
